During the course of the flight you will be offered the chance to take control of the aeroplane and experience for yourself the challenges faced by so many young cadets. Immersed in the atmosphere of the Imperial War Museum Duxford, this package makes for an extra special day. First is a hands-on flying lesson in the open cockpit of a Tiger Moth, the classic bi-plane, after which you will be able to get behind the wheel of an armoured military vehicle. Next you can enjoy a flight in a Dragon Rapide over the beautiful city of Cambridge before returning to Duxford for a tour of its private aircraft collection. Location: Duxford (Cambridgeshire)Your day begins at 10am and will include the following: Tea and Biscuits in the Control Tower; Entry to all areas of the Imperial War Museum for the participant; Hands-on flying lesson in an open cockpit Tiger Moth, complete with loan of flying jacket, helmet and goggles; Professional photo taken beside your aircraft; Driving lesson in an armoured military vehicle; Flight over Cambridge in the Dragon Rapide; Guided tour of some of Duxford’s private aircraft collection; Buffet lunch in the Pilots Briefing Room;’Log Book’ flight certificate and celebratory glass of champagne. Your day will end at around 3.30pm.On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher for TWO people valid for ten months. This 30 minute helicopter trial lesson is the perfect gift - due to the size of the helicopter, the recipient can even take two friends along for the ride (although they won't be included under this voucher)! In every trial lesson, you have the opportunity to take control. You'll be at the helm of the Robinson R44, with your instructor manning the dual control system to safely demonstrate and monitor the handling of the aircraft. A day in the sky not to be forgotten!
