In planes that, until recently were used by the Swedish Airforce, take to the skies over England with a fully qualified instructor to put the quick and manoeuvrable Bulldog through its paces. Following a detailed safety and technical briefing, a formation take off, aerobatic flying and a formation loop are just some of the possibilities during your 30 minute flight. The real highlight is the opportunity to tail chase one of the other planes, just like you have seen it done in the films! Location: Gloucestershire (Midlands)Your experience will include the following: Refreshments and kit out in authentic flying suit, helmet and gloves. Safety brief at the aircraft. Pre flight briefing including parachute drill, air combat manoeuvres and video. Out brief, reminder of safety and controls, strap on parachute and take to the air!On purchasing this experience you will receive a gift voucher with 10 months' validity for TWO people. Minimum age for this experience is 12, max weight 17 stone, height 5'-6'5”.This experience is extremely safe and all instructors are either current or former RAF pilots but you must listen to their instructions at all times and complete a medical declaration before flying. The operators are fully insured for both pubic liability and personal risks. You will be able to fly the aircraft at all times other than the take off and landing stages. Flying is subject to weather conditions and you must call the weather line before departing for your experience. The instructors are experts, if you would rather have a less extreme/aerobatic flight, simply ask. Please note Actual flying time is approx 30mins. Timings are indicative. Immersed in the atmosphere of the Imperial War Museum Duxford, this package makes for an extra special day. First is a hands-on flying lesson in the open cockpit of a Tiger Moth, the classic bi-plane, after which you will be able to get behind the wheel of an armoured military vehicle. Next you can enjoy a flight in a Dragon Rapide over the beautiful city of Cambridge before returning to Duxford for a tour of its private aircraft collection. Location: Duxford (Cambridgeshire)Your day begins at 10am and will include the following: Tea and Biscuits in the Control Tower; Entry to all areas of the Imperial War Museum for the participant; Hands-on flying lesson in an open cockpit Tiger Moth, complete with loan of flying jacket, helmet and goggles; Professional photo taken beside your aircraft; Driving lesson in an armoured military vehicle; Flight over Cambridge in the Dragon Rapide; Guided tour of some of Duxford’s private aircraft collection; Buffet lunch in the Pilots Briefing Room;’Log Book’ flight certificate and celebratory glass of champagne.
